Icom Ct-17 Driver Download

Many Mac and Windows users use this driver to connect their older Icom radios to computers for various purposes. But it's possible that these drivers won't work with your personal computer system and you might require a different one. It's worth noting that the installation of the driver depends on which version of Windows or Mac OS X is present on your machine. The CDI Driver was created by Icom Inc, and it supports operating systems like Windows NT 3.51, Windows 98 (and 98 SE), Windows 2000 (and Me), XP, Vista, 7; as well as Mac OS 9/Mac OS X 10.2-10.4 (but not 10.5). While the CDA Driver is not a part of Icom's official support, it is a drivers which is developed by many Icom users, and the CDI Driver's creator, Cht. Since December 2003. It is also possible to find it on the Internet for download. There are several versions of this driver available with some differences between them. The most common version is CT-1700 which includes drivers for models C-27A, C-28A, C-28B, C-31A/H/J/K/L(this one will only work with MacOS X 10.5), and ICOM IC-R75A RS 54M (this one is for Windows XP). This driver was developed by Cht in December 2003. It is also possible to find it on the Internet for download. The Installation is very simple and takes only few minutes. First you need to select the appropriate driver for your operating system, then you will need to connect Icom radio with computer using a serial port (RS-232) cable (not the same as the one used in USB connection). Afterwards you can easily install it on your computer by following instructions in INSTALLATION in CT1700 folder (CT-1700 IC-R75A RS54m README.TXT). This procedure will vary depending on your operating system (for Windows 2000/XP you will be asked to confirm it in Device Manager). If you are using Mac OS X, then the driver can be installed using applications built in X-Windows Software Installation utility. CDI is a great driver, but many users complain about CT-1700, here is why (http://www.radioreference.com/board/index.php?topic=37220. 0): Following are most common conflicts and solutions: There is a lot of CT-1700 drivers available on the Internet, also you can find a list of them on this site. But if you don't want to download programs from the Internet, then you can use a built-in utility to install it on your computer. Icom uses a proprietary cable to transfer data between the radio and PC. The cable is not included with radio and must be purchased separately. Using an alternate cable may prevent some functions from working correctly between radio and PC, or cause problems with the radio itself or its connection. Yaesu FT-847Y - US$59. eccc085e13
